Using the conversion function, you can do any kind of linear conversion by a button click.
To do so, once define you recommanded conversion factor in the Settings dialog. samples:
- Convert currencies
- Euro - Dollar
- Euro - SFR
- Euro - British Pound
- Euro - Yen
- or what ever other
- Convert measurement units
- Celsius - Fahrenheit
- Meters - Feet
- Centimeters - Inch
- Kilometers - Miles
- Horse Power - Kilowatts
- or any other you need or like
The important thing is to define a unique 3 charater shortcut for each conversion factor.
After defining conversion factors, you can do conversions by clicking the Exchange buttons. If you've defined only one factor, this one is use for an immediate conversion. If you've defined more the one, you see the selection dialog displayed below. One you selected the recommanded factor, the conversion is computed.
